Construction Overview:
The doily is knitted in four parts:
First, the center is worked in rounds following Charts A and B (119 rounds each).
Second and third, at opposite sides of the center, each extension is worked in rows following Chart C (45 rows).
Fourth, the border is worked in rounds following Chart D (19 rounds).
Note that the center section is unusual in that, rather than being 4 repeats of a single pattern, two slightly different patterns are worked one after the other, twice, as described (in rest of instructions).
